project 59........planter boxes

I used old tomato crates to do these planter boxes.

I simply gave them a water wash, written onto them with waxed crayons, added a little glitter here and there and placed my plastic pots inside.  I planted the pots with seeds and place the bottom end of soda bottles over it to make a small terrarium for the seeds to germinate.

I love gardening, but don't have success with growing plants from seeds.  As I work shifts I sometimes forget to water them.

I placed these containers on my patio right at the back door.  I have to pass them daily, so I water them regularly.  And they look neat standing in a row.

I've made beaded insects as plant markers, but will show you that some other time......
