project 109....keeping your cupboard fresh with leftover soap

I love to smell soap.....it smells so fresh and clean.  I used to put bars of soap between my underwear just for the scent of it.  Then I made these figures with grated left over soap in the middle.  I now hang them even on the coat hangers between my clothes.  They don't make any marks on your clothes, and keep your cupboard smelling fresh.

I've cut fish and stars out of calico, embroidered some stitches on the one side,  then hand sewn them together with a crochet yarn leaving a small space to fill with grated soap.  I then made some strings to hang them.  Great way to use leftover soap, and scraps of material.
