Post 105........lemon/orrange bread

My middle son loves this bread!  He does not know I use the lemon and orange slices from the flavoured water in this recipe!  And as long as he eats it, there is no reason to get rid of the fruit!

I changed a banana bread recipe to make this one.....

Mix together....
1/2 cup of butter
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs
5 ml lemon essence
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
mulched fruit...about four lemons/oranges

Place in a bread pan and bake at 180*C for about 55 minutes.  Check it after 45 minutes.

Allow to cool in the pan before you turn it out.  Top with frosting made from butter, icing sugar and some fresh lemon juice.  This bread is even better the next day.  Keep in an airtight container.
